ORR’s story began in 1948, not in a boardroom, but on the road.
With an idea, a loan from a fellow traveling salesman, and a Packard loaded with safety gloves, Clark Orr, Sr. founded what would become ORR Safety. His belief was simple but powerful: every worker deserves to go home safely at the end of the day.
That commitment to protecting people became the foundation of our company.
More than two decades later, that same purpose inspired the creation of ORR Protection, expanding our mission to safeguard businesses, critical infrastructure, and the people who power them. From manufacturing facilities and healthcare campuses to data centers, utilities, and commercial buildings, we’ve continued to evolve alongside the industries we serve while remaining grounded in the values that started it all.
Today, nearly 80 years after our founding, our tools, technologies, and capabilities have transformed, but our purpose has not.
